1953-1957 Corvette Hood Male Lock Pin Compression Spring replaces GM. 2 required per hood. Authentic design pattern, precision spring steel replica with Zinc plating finish. None better.
CAVEAT EMPTOR: Note the ends on this compression spring are ground flat like original, instead of the wire being merely snipped off. In the latter, the spring does not sit flush against the mating surfaces, while ends ground flat ensures proper flush contact. Just another one of the little difference between the Cream and the crap. :)
WARNING: If you use an acid etcher to clean your original springs, you must follow up to ensure the acid is neutralized with a base & the parts must be heated in an oven to drive off any residue. If not, the metal suffers from Hydrogen Embrittlement, which causes the metal to break and fracture from any stress such as compressing them. Read about it on Wiki.
