1953-1962 Corvette Cowl Vent One Piece Sponge Rubber Seal Replaces GM 3706914. We die cut this part because the part that GM sold in service in the 70's was made from 2 pieces of sponge rubber that were glued together. GM folded it up to fit in a 6x10 paper bag & it never would lay flat & fit properly. Does 1 car. None better. Made in Bridgeport, CT USA.
Fact: I designed the die for this part because I did not have the GM blueprint, and my goal was to produce a better part that GM was selling at the Chevy store parts counter in the 70's. The GM service part shown below was made in 2 pieces, glued together & then stuffed in the GM gag all wrinkled up. The one piece we cut had a much better fit as well as appearance.

After we made this repro as a one piece part, Bill Ross owner of the Star Spangled Sports Car Corvette shop in Bethel, CT recovered a 1958 Corvette that was stolen on when brand new & driven into an old quarry that was flooded. BilI said some items were remarkably preserved and the assembly line installed cowl vent seal was in fact one piece.

That way you can fool the net store on the destination since it get confused with international. We are smart enough to figure out that we are not going to ship it to ourselves.
