Doc's made from an original & 8 bux cheaper than the brand X repro made from our part.
1958-1960 Corvette Hood Air Dam Rubber Seal Replaces GM 3740299. Glues to the underside of the hood where it prevents air flow over the top of the radiator when the hood is closed. Our part has all the authentic details: with 11 Raised Ribs on one side & 9 Raised Ribs on the other surface. This is an accurate reproduction of the first air dam ever installed on a Corvette.
FACT: See Mr. Noland Adams “Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide Volume 1" page 246 for documentation of this authentic part. The factory part number of this "seal" was 3740299. None better & made in the USA.
CAVEAT EMPTOR: DocRebuild was the first to reproduce this part, and we used the original GM parts shown below to assist in reproduction. It will be a snowy day in hell, before you see any of the imposter repro's with any sample, other than the DocRebuild repro. We don't make repro's from repro's.
