1968-1972 Corvette Fuel Pump Genuine AC/Delco 40709 or GM 6470110 NOS
CAVEAT EMPTOR: This is a discontinued genuine GM / discontinued AC/Delco pump, that was actually made in the USA, not made in Uguessistan and it also includes the AC Delco box - unlike e-Bait where they show you a Delco or GM box- but they don't include it. Doesn't that affirm you trust in that e-babe merchant - until the pump arrives in a plain box. WaaaWaaan!
NOTE: Use with 68-69 300 or 350 HP or 70-72 LT-1. This pump is designed for Corvettes that have one inlet from the fuel tank & one fuel outlet to the carburetor. It is not appropriate for Corvettes with a return vapor line on the passengers side of the frame. Those model pumps have 3 fittings. Big blocks use a different pump also. 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972
FACT: If you drive your Corvette there is no better security than an OEM sourced part. The alternative is a Delphi re-issue or worse, a repro, generally not even made on this continent. And you have to trust gasoline to run through it? Penny wise, pound foolish. Limited supply. It even includes the original GM AC Delco packaging.
ALTERNATIVES: Paragon offers a replacement pump - however the the lower pipe is too short and appears to be pointed in the wrong direction. This is the pipe that the fuel "S" hose connects the frame duel line to the pump. I do not know how that effects this gasoline fuel feed - but what the heck it is only $39.00 and gasoline is not that dangerous if it is properly connected. Paragon jpeg below.
