HOW TO ID Early versus Late 1968: Examine you inner fender skirts
- if each has tiny staple holes = it is Early 1968;
- if each has 13 round holes = it is Late 1968
HISTORICAL FACT: when GM sold these in the late 1970's they were made in Canada & printed right across the part Made in Canada in Yellow paint. They were thinner & often bore holes because the reconstitued rubber was not thoroughly mixed. Frankly they were a poor equivalent to the original. Incidentally it looked like the warehouse personnel used then as floor mats due to the dusty footprints on the surface. No kidding.
