Wittek 28H CLAMPS
According to Wiki GM produced 4,400,000 + cars in 1970.
If each car used 4 of these clamps - more than 15,000,000 of these clamps were needed. Does anyone think that on only set of stamping dies produced all the identification markings on all of these clamps?
Does anyone think every one of them had the same exact stamping of 28H and Surtite or is it SURTITE or SureTite or Sure Tite or Surtite or SURTITE or SureTite or Sure Tite.
In my own collection there are 13 variation of the SURTITE and 28H stampings.
It is even a bigger stretch of my imagination to accept the ncrs proverb that most Corvette have only one font style, one point size & one location. Yea I'm not gullible. I doubt there is even one of those Black Hat Judges who ever worked with mass produced parts or even purchased a stamping die to produce a legend, part number or logo stamped into a part !!!!!!!!!
